A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM      Final Project

Individual projects

1.      Create a program for the play.  Include information about the playwright, the setting, the storyline, characters in the play, art work, and any individual ideas you think would enhance your project.  Be sure to cite any websites or books you use to create your program.

2.      In modern English, write a “lost” scene for the play.

3.      Rewrite a section of the play in modern English.

GROUP PROJECTS

1.      Writing:  # 2 and 3 are options for groups as well.  More content would be required for groups than individuals.

2.      Acting: 1) Students may choose to learn, and present sections of the play in its authentic form. Students will memorize lines, create or find costumes and incorporate set and props into their performance.

      2) Students may rewrite a section of the play and perform that section. Students will memorize lines, create or find costumes and incorporate set and props into their performance.

3.      Game:  Students may create an interactive game which tests their knowledge of the play.  The game must include clear instructions and rules.

4.      Video:  Students may create a video which would reflect their knowledge of the play.

5.      Students may either in group or individually plan their own project.
