Topic: some uses of simple machines.

Background: Because the design of simple machines is so basic, their uses are almost limitless. This project will test your understanding of how they could be used in an unusual situation.

Process: Refer to the six types of simple machines. Create a cartoon strip of at least 10 panels showing how Santa's elves could use them to process trees into toboggans.Think of all of the steps in the process, from standing trees to finished product. Make clear how you are using each
machine either separately or in combination in a complex machine. Decide if captions are required. Due to the elves' kind natures, extra toboggans will be made. As part of the cartoon strip, show the delivery system by which the extras will be delivered to "toys for the needy" distribution centers.
